President Murmu lauds ISRO after rollout of Pragyan rover on lunar South Pole

With India's successful moon landing mission on Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu issued a message of congratulations to the ISRO scientists participating in the Chandrayaan-3 project.

While India was just the fourth country after the United States, Russia, and China to successfully complete a lunar landing mission, it was the first to deploy a lander on the moon's unexplored south face.

Following a successful landing on the lunar South Pole, the Pragyan rover escaped the Vikram lander to explore the unexplored lunar surface.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday unveiled supplementary SCERT (the State Council for Educational Research and Training) textbooks that included themes previously removed from NCERT textbooks.

According to CM Vijayan, his government believes that NCERT should not have omitted certain chapters in the name of rationalisation.

'Proud, glad to be your partner': America hails India on Chandrayaan-3 moon landing

American lawmakers, journalists, and space research organisations congratulated India on the successful moon landing of Chandrayaan-3 on Wednesday, as the country joined the rare club of three other nations that have a rover on the lunar surface: the United States, Russia, and China.

In the process, India became the first country in the elite club to have a rover on the moon's south pole area, which the Indian Space Research Organisation believes may have water remnants.

Several international leaders, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the achievement of Chandrayaan-3 at the BRICS Summit banquet meal in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

Earlier on Wednesday, PM Modi while referring to the Chandrayaan-3 mission, said the enthusiasm of our diaspora in South Africa for India's achievements in the space sector is truly gladdening.

Several international leaders, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the achievement of Chandrayaan-3 at the BRICS Summit banquet meal in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister also tweeted photos of himself addressing members of the Indian diaspora gathering in a Johannesburg hotel on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Chandryaan-3 made a successful soft landing on the moon.
