Chief of banned CPI-maoist splinter bloc gunned down in Jharkhand

Pappu Lohra, head of the Maoist splinter group Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), and his second-in-command were killed in a gunfight with police in Latehar district. This elimination is part of an intensified crackdown on Maoists and breakaway factions in Jharkhand.
